As I noted a few weeks back I was putting things here on the backburner due to the situation with my high school. Well luckily things have been quasi-resolved there – The Next Fifty Years Committee met their goal of raising $500,000 in a mere three weeks and the pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul parish has given assurances the school will remain open throughout the next year. Obviously this is hardly enough. We need a stronger assurance that goes beyond a single year and we need to transition to a more sustainable model of governance, but this is a good start.
I plan to stay a part of that effort, so between that and my job as a legislative aid I don’t expect to be able to keep up with the rate of posting I was doing over the summer. But I will be endeavoring to get back to posting at least every so often, and I have at least two or three posts roughly framed out in my head that I can hopefully be able to get out in the next few days.
Also, on an unrelated but cool note, I got mentioned on Maryland Politics Watch today as one of the Maryland blogs they track (I had my all time site visit peak in August, hopefully I’ll be able to beat that once I get back into the blogging scene).
